Terms and Conditions

We hope that you and your dog enjoy your time at Woofworthy Secure Dog Field. To ensure safety and enjoyment for yourself, your dog(s) and others, please read the following.

It is understood that you accept the following terms and conditions each time you use the facility. If you bring other people with you as part of your booking you are responsible for their safety and ensuring they abide by the terms and conditions set out here.

Booking is deemed as agreement to abide by these terms and conditions:

Liability/Disclaimer

  • Use of Woofworthy field and it’s facilities is entirely at the user’s own risk. The owners of Woofworthy accept no responsibility for injury to, or for the death of, any person or animal or for any damage to, or losses of any property belonging to users of the facilities or anywhere on the Woofworthy premises.
  • Whilst our field is secure, and every reasonable precaution has been taken to ensure the safety of users and their dogs, we cannot guarantee complete security for every dog. Woofworthy Secure Dog Field cannot be held responsible should your dog escape. We recommend owners should walk the perimeter of the field with your dog on lead to ensure the suitability for your dog before releasing them. 
  • We recommend that you have public liability insurance – often this is included in your home/pet insurance. If any dog(s) that you are responsible for are not insured for 3rd party liability, please be aware that you will be personally liable for any accidents or injuries that the dog may cause, just as you would be if it occurred in a public place. Any breakages or damage to Woofworthy property caused by Woofworthy field users and/or their dogs whilst on the premises of Woofworthy must be paid for by the hirer.
  • A hardstanding parking area is provided within the Woofworthy field. All vehicles are parked and left entirely at their owners’ risk and the land owners accept no responsibility for any loss or damage incurred, accident or otherwise to vehicles or their contents, whilst they are on Woofworthy and Holland Park Farm premises.
  • Woofworthy is situated on a farm and as such there could be natural and agricultural hazards. Hazards you may encounter could include, but are not limited to; moving tractors and other agricultural machinery, nails, wood, wire, uneven ground, unmown meadow grasses which are left to seed, wild mushrooms, woodchip, fallen trees/branches, rabbit and other animal burrows, biting insects and thorns. Prevailing weather conditions could result in additional hazards, including but not limited to; mud and surface water. Farmland by nature can be a dangerous place and may cause injury to yourself or dogs, individuals using the facilities will take full responsibility for themselves and their dogs as if they were walking in any public place. Users should wear appropriate clothing and footwear. The owners of Woofworthy will not be liable for any injury or accident resulting from any natural or agricultural hazards located on the premises.
  • The behaviour, safety and welfare of all dogs using Woofworthy  is entirely the owner’s/handler’s responsibility, just as it would be in a public place.
  • Users must report any accident, incident or injury to us immediately by contacting us on 07887 094320, via messenger or contact@woofworthy.co.uk

Dogs

  • We recommend that all dog(s) using Woofworthy are up-to-date with their inoculations, worming, flea and tick treatment.
  • Please do not bring your dog(s) if they are showing signs of illness or carrying any contagious medical condition and/or if they are coughing.
  • Users must not leave any dog unattended or tethered to any equipment or fences in Woofworthy secure dog field
  • No grooming anywhere on site.
  • Do not allow dogs to dig holes, or chew or damage any property belonging to Woofworthy. If a hole is dug or you notice one on your visit please notify us about it so that we can repair as necessary.
  • Please encourage dogs to toilet away from the equipment rather than on it.

Exempt dogs

  • Exempt dogs are welcome at Woofworthy as long as the following conditions are adhered to:
  • Owners must contact Woofworthy secure field directly before making a booking and when a booking is made the owners clearly state they are bringing an exempted dog.
  • The dog is registered with the index of exempted dogs (IED)and a copy of the life certificate is obtained and provided to us in the event of a claim
  • A copy of the public liability insurance certificate for the dog is obtained and provided to us in the event of a claim.
  • The dog handler ratio is 1:1 with their handler at all times. The handler must be over 18 and be part of the same household as the registered dog. Households which own more than one dog can come to the field together as long as they have an additional handler for any non-exempt dogs. If there is more than one banned breed in the household they can come together but each banned dog must have it’s own handler.
  • The dog is neutered
  • The dog is microchipped
  • It is the handler’s responsibility to check the fencing is adequate and secure so the dog can not escape.
  • The field gate is locked from the inside whilst the dog is in the field whether on or off lead.
  • The dog is kept on a lead and muzzled on entry to the field until the gate is shut and locked
  • The dog is put back on a lead and muzzled before unlocking the gate and leaving the field.
  • No shared bookings with dogs or people from other households
  • We reserve the right to refuse entry or request that you vacate Woofworthy secure dog field should we feel that the above conditions are not adhered to.

People

  • Be kind to all others you may encounter on your arrival or departure, everyone wants an enjoyable time with their dog(s) from start to finish.
  • Disrespectful behaviour towards the owners, users or neighbours of Woofworthy will not be tolerated.
  • Please respect our neighbours by keeping any noise and barking at a minimum.
  • Smoking/Vaping is not permitted anywhere on site

Arrival at & leaving the field

  • Please try not to arrive any earlier than a few minutes before your session start time. If you do arrive early, please do not go down to Woofworthy paddock prior to your time slot, please wait outside the main road gate and stay in your car.
  • The gate code will change regularly so please take note of the code for the date you have booked. Reminders will be emailed 48hours prior to each booking.
  • When entering and exiting the site there is a strict 10mph speed limit.
  • If users arrive late, bookings cannot be extended.
  • GATES – Please close the coded gate behind you upon arriving and driving through it. Please close the Woofworthy field gate after parking, before letting your dog(s) out of the car. This gate can be left open upon leaving the field (please secure it back) and then please close the top exit gate before leaving the site.
  • The hirer must inspect all areas/equipment prior to use to ensure that it is suitable for use by their dog(s).
  • All areas must be vacated and dogs loaded into your vehicle by the end of your booked session.
  • When exiting the site, it is strictly ONE WAY exit by turning LEFT onto Winterland Lane – please see map this google maps page showing the route when leaving.

Code of Ethics

  • Harsh handling of dogs, either verbal or physical is not permitted
  • Choke chains, prong collars and electronic devices are not permitted.
  • Persistent, continuous barking will not be tolerated.
  • We reserve the right to request you vacate Woofworthy premises at any given time.

Bookings

  • The field is only available on a prebooked basis.
  • Bookings are all online via the website & payment is taken at time of booking.
  • Once a booking has been made the gate code will be emailed to you.
  • The person making the booking must be present at the session and must ensure that anyone else attending is made aware of, and adheres to the Terms and Conditions. By bringing friends or family, the hirer agrees to take full responsibility for their safety and ensure that they abide by the Terms and Conditions at all times whilst on the premises and while using the facilities.
  • The maximum number of dogs permitted to use the field at any one time is four. Users should contact us for any special arrangements.
  • Bookings are non-refundable. Bookings can be transferred to another date/time if at least 24hours notice is given. You can reschedule your booking from a link in your confirmation email or by logging into your account on the booking page.  We cannot reschedule your session at very short notice (within 24hours of your booking) as we need enough time to resell your original session.
  • Sessions are non-transferrable between users – even if registered. This is so that we know who is on site at all times.
  • If Woofworthy needs to cancel a booking you have made or we have to close the field due to weather or technical reasons we will notify customers as soon as possible, and rebook as required.

Security

  • The site is monitored by CCTV 24/7. This is for our security and yours and also to ensure the field is not misused.
  • We inspect Woofworthy facilities and perimeters daily to maintain security but please notify us on 07887 094320 or via Facebook Messenger or email contact@woofworthy.co.uk if you have any concerns.

Changes and alterations

We reserve the right to alter these terms and conditions at any point and we will ensure that the latest version is available on our website. Please do not hesitate to contact us for an up to date copy of them.  

We also reserve the right to ban users from further visits if the terms and conditions are not adhered to.
